Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A new gathering in Madrid welcomed religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, highlighted intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The meeting included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers presented personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how open dialogue can strengthen coexistence.

In the discussion, participants considered themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and Human Rights international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when supported by education and dialogue.
